9 8:00 am Event: Emergency Exercise Location: Marshall Browning Hospital Description: Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin and Pinckneyville Community Hospital will be partnering to conduct a full-scale emergency exercise on Friday, November 9, beginning at approximately 8:00 a.m. and completing around 10:00 a.m. The exercise will practice emergency response procedures to an EF3 Tornado that has resulted in mass casualties. This drill involves the coordination of various law enforcement and emergency response agencies, in addition to Marshall Browning and Pinckneyville Community Hospitals. Our goal is to not have any disruption with patient care. However, the public should be advised that they may notice extra activity in the Emergency Departments at each facility, as well as seeing and hearing Ambulance, Police, Fire, and helicopter activity during this exercise between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Marshall Browning Hospital and Pinckneyville Community Hospital are conducting this exercise in order to be better prepared to respond to community health needs during a disaster situation. |
