Event: COMMUNITY HEALTHCHECK
Location: Marshall Browning Hospital
Description: We will host our 5th Annual Community HealthCheck on Wednesday, May 1 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. We will again offer lab screenings at a reduced rate of only $40 (cash or check). Lab testing will be Monday - Friday (April 22-26) from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and on Saturdays, April 20 and April 27 from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Results from the lab testing will be available at the HealthCheck on May 1 with healthcare providers available to meet with individuals and explain their results. Lab testing includes Complete Metabolic Profile, Complete Blood Count, Lipid Profile (Cholesterol, Triglycerides, LDL, HDL), Thyroid Function Screen (TSH), Diabetic Screen (HA1C), Vitamin D, and Prostate Cancer Screen (PSA) for men. Appointments are not necessary. The HealthCheck on May 1 will include other free screenings including Alpha-1 testing (genetic marker for COPD), Blood Pressure, Sleep Apnea Screening, educational booths, food, giveaways and door prizes. Event: FREE Orthopedic Clinic for Children
Location: Specialty Clinic Department
Description: Children are reviewed for bone and joint development, and if a child has feet pointing out or complaints of back, knee, leg, ankle pain or has a back curvature. Appointments are required by calling 800-272-0074. The clinic is FREE and sponsored by South District Elks Lodges in cooperation with Illinois Elks Children's Care Corporation.
