Marshall Browning Hospital, Du Quoin District 300 and the City of Du Quoin Join Together to Develop Videos

Over a year ago, School District 300, Marshall Browning Hospital and the City of Du Quoin joined together for the purpose of developing a series of videos about the City of Du Quoin-its people, its resources and its culture. Baldwin Media of Eldorado, Illinois produced the videos with assistance from the staff of the three organizations.

The primary purposes of the videos is to introduce Du Quoin to families looking for a new home, to tourists looking for relaxation and entertainment, and to businesses and industries seeking a new location.

There are nine videos. The primary video, Welcome to Du Quoin, is about six minutes, and it simply introduces the people of Du Quoin. The people of a community are its heart and soul.

The remaining eight videos vary in length and describe the resources, assets, and services of the Du Quoin community. The viewer can pick and choose what they wish to know about city services, educational programs and activities, as well as medical facilities, staff, services and specialties.

The school district video highlights the district's exemplary facilities, the faculty and staff commitment to our students, the district's emphasis on college and career readiness, and also District 300's connection to the community including its tremendous community support.

Marshall Browning Hospital's video highlights the hospital's state-of-the-art facilities and demonstrates the outstanding commitment of the medical staff and hospital team to provide compassionate health care services to the community. The video emphasizes the advanced technology and broad range of services from surgery to rehabilitative therapies, specialty care and beyond.

The short videos for the City describe all city services and programs including city government, protective services, dining and retail, recreation and events, and economic development. There is also a special video about NubAbility Athletics.
