Grace Bailey Receives Hospital Scholarship



Du Quoin, Illinois - July 6, 2017 - Marshall Browning Hospital recently named its 2017 healthcare career scholarship recipient. Grace Bailey, Du Quoin High School graduate, will receive $1,000 each year for four years.
Bailey is the daughter of Michael and Denice Bailey of Du Quoin. She will be attending Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis to pursue a career as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

"Grace is an outstanding student and has a bright future ahead her," said Don Hoffman, Chairman of the Marshall Browning Hospital Board Scholarship Committee.
Marshall Browning Hospital has now awarded $1,000 per year for up to four years to nine outstanding students who excelled in academics and are pursuing careers in healthcare.

The hospital scholarship committee recently hosted a dinner in honor of Grace, as well as Brittany Clark, 2016 recipient; Jerry Kuhnert, 2015 recipient; Cody Bailey, 2014 recipient; and Molly Clark, 2013 recipient. The scholarship committee is comprised of hospital board members Richard Haines, Kathy West, Don Hoffman, David Searby and Dan Eaves, CEO.

"Supporting the youth of our community is something we are committed to doing at Marshall Browning Hospital," said hospital CEO Dan Eaves. "We are very impressed with Grace's high school accomplishments and are pleased to offer assistance as she pursues a career in the healthcare field."

The hospital scholarship is offered annually to demonstrate the hospital's commitment to local healthcare and its youth, and also to inspire and encourage students to dedicate their lives to helping others."
