Heather Richelman New Director of Marshall Browning Rehab


Du Quoin, Illinois - April 3, 2012 - Marshall Browning Hospital is pleased to announce that Heather Richelman has been selected as the new Director of Rehab at Marshall Browning Hospital, replacing longtime director Debbie Hill who recently retired.

Richelman joined Marshall Browning Hospital's Rehab Department as a Licensed Physical Therapist in 2004. She has Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Saint Louis University with 15 years of clinical experience and 4 years direct management experience. In addition to being a Physical Therapist, Heather is also a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and Sportsmetrics™ Certified Clinical Instructor.

In her new role, Richelman will provide leadership and oversight to the rehab department which is located on the hospital campus. Services offered include Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Athletic Training, Aquatic Therapy, Lymphedema Therapy, Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy, Hand Therapy, Pediatrics and Hippotherapy. Marshall Browning Rehab also has become the only facility in southern Illinois to have certified instructors to offer the highly acclaimed Sportsmetrics™ Training Program, effective in reducing the risk of knee injuries in female athletes.

Marshall Browning Rehab provided nearly 30,000 treatments through its various programs over the past 12 months. Services are provided for inpatients, outpatients and home health patients.
