Marshall Browning Hospital Announces Additional Podiatry Services

Du Quoin, Illinois - December 10, 2018 - Patients of Marshall Browning Hospital's podiatry clinic will see new changes and additional services. David Dickinson, DPM, long-time podiatrist in the hospital's podiatry clinic, will now see patients on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with evening appointments until 7:00 p.m. as well as every other Saturday. Dr. Dickinson will move his clinic from the hospital's specialty clinic to the hospital's rural health clinic, Marshall Browning Medical Clinic, located at 900 North Washington Street, Du Quoin (across the street from the hospital).

"Dr. Dickinson brings excellent experience to the medical clinic, especially on the wound care side," said Dan Eaves, CEO. "Marshall Browning Hospital continuously evaluates the availability of health care providers and services to meet our community's needs. We are pleased to expand and grow services that are needed in our community."

Podiatry covers any painful foot condition or mobility problem related to a foot or ankle condition, especially those complicated by conditions such as diabetes or arthritis. Dr. Dickinson will work to help specific problems and maintain foot health. He will offer orthotic services to help those who need support or correction for a physical deformity or weakness and can give a full range of advice including taking measurements for support footwear where appropriate. His goal is to improve independence, mobility and well-being across all age groups.

Dr. Dickinson earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Des Moines University and completed a three-year residency at Jewish Hospital of Cincinnati where he was Chief Resident. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and will perform surgery at Marshall Browning Hospital. He will offer both office procedures and surgical podiatry services. Specialty foot care will be offered for children, sports injuries, and elder and diabetic foot care.
