Marshall Browning Hospital Announces Opening of Rheumatology Clinic

Du Quoin, Illinois - July 12, 2017 - Marshall Browning Hospital is pleased to welcome Frederick Pfalzgraf, M.D., Rheumatologist, to its Specialty Clinic staff. Dr. Pfalzgraf will see patients in a new Rheumatology Clinic located at the hospital at 900 North Washington Street in Du Quoin. The clinics will be held on the second and third Thursdays each month beginning on August 10.

"The mission of Marshall Browning Hospital is to improve the health of our community. We are excited to bring this much needed service to the patients in Perry County," said Dan Eaves, CEO. The Rheumatology Clinic will treat patients who suffer from painful disorders affecting the joints, muscles, bones, connective tissues, and soft tissues around the joints.

Dr. Pfalzgraf has been practicing in the field of rheumatology for 16 years. He is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology and is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology. He is dedicated to treating adults with autoimmune inflammatory conditions such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Scleroderma, Sjogren's Syndrome, Sarcoidosis, Fibromyalgia, and Dermatomyositis/Polymyositis. He also has special interest in the evaluation and treatment of osteoporosis.

Dr. Pfalzgraf is originally from Wisconsin. He attended medical school at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, CO and completed his rheumatology fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, CO.
