He is the son of longtime educator Barbara Croessman and John Croessman, longtime editor of the Du Quoin Evening Call newspaper.  Croessman earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Master of Science Degree in Economics from SIU-C.  In addition, he has met all of the curriculum requirements for his doctorate in Economics and will soon assemble his dissertation committee.

Marshall Browning Hospital Honors Retiring Director and Welcomes New Director


Du Quoin, Illinois - September 26, 2016 - Marshall Browning Hospital's Board of Directors and department managers recently honored Mark Maclin, Attorney, for 36 years of dedicated service on the hospital board. Maclin informed the board of his retirement in August and was presented with a plaque and gift at the hospital's annual meeting on September 20.

Maclin joined the hospital board in 1980, replacing his father John Maclin who served on the board from 1947 until his death in 1980. Both men served as secretary of the board during their tenure.

Marshall Browning Hospital is pleased to welcome Andrew Croessman to the Marshall Browning Hospital Board of Directors. Mr. Croessman is the Finance and Budget Director and City Clerk for the city of Du Quoin. Croessman earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Master of Science Degree in Economics from SIU-C. Mr. Croessman joins other directors who volunteer their time on the hospital board including Susan Engelhardt, Dr. Craig Furry, Brad Galli, Chuck Genesio, Richard Haines, Don Hoffman, David Searby Jr., Kathy West, and Dr. Richard Zimmerman.

Marshall Browning Hospital is a non-for-profit charitable organization. The hospital is a 25-bed acute care hospital. It also operates Marshall Browning Estates, a 22-unit independent living center, Marshall Browning Rehabilitation Center, and offers 17 specialty clinics bringing a variety of specialists to the hospital from the St. Louis and southern Illinois area. The hospital operates Marshall Browning Medical Clinic on its campus offering the primary family care practice of Dr. Gladstone Tucker, Geriatrics/Internal Medicine, Dr. Amy Gerwe, Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, Danielle Klump, FNP, and Heather Rice, PA-C. In addition, the hospital offers an Urgent Care Clinic that is open 7 days a week with providers including Dr. Clay Travis, Michael Staff, PA-C and Cathy Lyons, PA-C.
