New OB/GYN Clinic at Marshall Browning Hospital

Du Quoin, Illinois - Heartland Women's Healthcare, an obstetrics and gynecology practice with locations across Southern Illinois, will start seeing patients at Marshall Browning Hospital, located at 900 North Washington Street. The clinic will be open every Tuesday starting December 2nd. Dr. Mandy Carroll and Midwife Carrissia Holloway will be the main providers in the clinic.

Heartland Women's Healthcare is a comprehensive practice that oversees the total health of women in all phases of life. The practice currently has 20 locations which house 28 providers, including 17 physicians, 5 nurse midwives, and 6 nurse practitioners. The practice has enjoyed 12 years as an independent practice.

The practice offers free ultrasounds at every prenatal appointment. The ultrasound will not be billed to insurance and is offered free to all obstetric patients. The ultrasound is performed by the provider and gives the expecting mothers a peace of mind at each visit.

This past year Heartland Women's Healthcare introduced the USBytes program. Each expectant mother receives the USBytes bracelet as a gift. These bracelets contain a virtual world of prenatal care information. The software includes the patient's ultrasound images, 4D video of the baby, and all password protected medical records pertaining to the pregnancy. Security is not a risk with the bracelet as the files on the drive are health insurance portability accountability act (HIPAA) compliant.
