Marshall Browning Hospital to Host Grand Opening for Medical Office Building

Du Quoin, Illinois - October 6, 2009. Marshall Browning Hospital and Morgan Commercial Structures will debut the grand opening of their newly constructed medical office building in Du Quoin on Sunday, October 18. The community is invited to tour the new facility from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Board of Directors of the hospital will be on hand to unveil the official naming of the facility along with the ribbon cutting at 1:00 p.m. The building is located at the entryway of the hospital campus, directly across from the hospital's new certified helipad.

"We are so proud to offer this new facility to our community. The primary focus of this project was to meet the needs of our patients, their families and to enhance support to our growing physician practice," said William Huff, CEO. "The interior layout of the building is designed to promote efficiency in all areas of the physician's practice as well as patient convenience. The brick exterior of the medical office building complements the hospital's exterior design. The building offers ample parking and features a covered drop-off and pick-up entrance.

The 6,000 square foot facility includes 12 exam rooms, two treatment rooms, a large waiting room, reception area, and physician and staff offices.

The medical office building will offer the services of Dr. Terrence Hall, General Surgeon; Dr. Hassan Jafri, Family Practice; and Dr. Gladstone Tucker, Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. All three physicians are Board Certified with many years of experience and are looking forward to serving the community in new modern, well equipped office suites. Huff added "the building offers space for four physician practices. This facility should help us in attracting an additional physician to our community."

"I am very proud to have been involved with the continued growth and improvement of the facilities at Marshall Browning Hospital," exclaims Jim Morgan, President of Morgan Commercial Structures. "It is exciting when projects like this are provided for the benefit of the community they will serve. Morgan has been involved with several building projects for Marshall Browning Hospital and we are proud of the relationship we have built with them."

"Our physicians and staff are so pleased and excited to offer healthcare services to our community in this new state-of-the-art facility," commented Lindy Armstrong, Clinic Office Manager. "The physicians and clinic staff welcome the community to experience compassionate care, close to home."

The community is invited to enjoy guided tours, refreshments as well as giveaways and door prizes throughout the day.
