Marshall Browning Hospital Expands Urology Services

Du Quoin, Illinois - January 9, 2014 - Marshall Browning Hospital is pleased to announce that Dr. Srinivas Rajamahanty will expand his clinic hours at Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin as well as begin offering urologic endoscopy services.

Dr. Rajamahanty is a Board Certified Urologist who began offering a clinic at Marshall Browning Hospital in July 2012. Due to the increased demand he will be adding an additional clinic each month and offering outpatient cystoscopy services at the hospital. Cystoscopy is a diagnostic procedure that allows the doctor to directly examine the urinary tract, particularly the bladder, the urethra, and the openings to the ureters. It can assist in identifying problems with the urinary tract, such as early signs of cancer, infection, strictures (narrowing), obstruction and bleeding.

Dr. Rajamahanty completed his residency at Westchester Medical Center in New York and a fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine and Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He completed his fellowship in robotic and minimally invasive urology - using the latest technology to treat prostate cancer and other appropriate conditions. He has over 20 years experience in adult and pediatric urology. He treats patients for a variety of conditions including kidney stones/infections, testicular, bladder, kidney and prostate cancer, laser ablation of enlarged prostate, vasectomies, bladder control and erectile dysfunction.
