LPN or CMA (Family Practice)
Clinic LPN Or CMA
We are looking for a full-time LPN or CMA candidate to work with one of our providers in our Family Practice. We offer a competitive salary. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or CMA provides direct and indirect patient care, communicating with providers and co-workers about changes in a patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. The LPN or CMA can respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, can perform general nursing duties with adequate supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education: The LPN will be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current licensure and registration with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. The CMA will be a graduate of an accredited CMA program and hold a current certification.

B. Training, Experience & Knowledge: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice including basic knowledge related to clinical nursing such as biological, physical, social, and medical sciences and their applications. Must have the basic knowledge to assess and care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Familiarity with Clinic functions, standards, policies, and procedures. LPN or CMA must keep apprised of new developments in the nursing field.

C. The LPN or CMA must be able to efficiently use a computer and Clinic software, copy/fax/email equipment and telephone, and medical equipment.
D. Job Knowledge: The LPN should be skilled in greeting patients and answering telephone calls pleasantly and helpfully, with the ability to speak clearly and concisely without the perception of rudeness. The LPN will have the ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions. The LPN or CMA will have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all persons within the Clinic (co-workers, patients, providers, management, public, etc.)
