Description: Perry County Health Department will be at the Du Quoin American Legion on February 25 giving COVID vaccinations for Phase 1a, 1b, and expanded 1b. Those currently eligible include the following:

Phase 1A: Health care Personnel (Hospital Settings, Non-hospital health, Other Congregate Care, Long-Term Care Facility residents and staff)

Phase 1B Part I: Those 65 years of age and older and frontline workers with higher risk of exposure because of their inability to perform work duties remotely and work in proximity to other coworkers or members of the public:

- Persons aged 65 years and older.
- Frontline essential workers, who do not work remotely, are defined as those workers who are essential for the functioning of society.

(ELIGIBILITY BEGINS 2/25/21):
Phase 1B Part II: Persons aged 16 to 64 years with high-risk medical conditions.

Persons aged 16 to 64 years with medical conditions that increase the risk for severe COVID-19. See the link for additional information - https://www.cdc.gov/.../people-with-medical-conditions.html
Conditions include Obesity (see the CDC BMI calculator to determine eligibility based on weight), Diabetes, Pulmonary Diseases, Smoking, Heart Conditions, Chronic Kidney Disease, Cancer, Immunocompromised State from a Solid Organ Transplant, Sickle Cell Disease, Pregnancy, and Persons with Disability (Not otherwise covered in previous categories.)
