Brittany Montgomery Receives BEE Award at Marshall Browning Hospital

Du Quoin, IL – November 24, 2025 – Brittany Montgomery, RT(R) RMDS RVT, Ultrasound Technologist and X-ray Technologist, was honored today with the hospital’s first BEE Award for Exceptional Support Staff. The award is part of the hospital’s BEE (Be Exceptional Every Day) Award Program, which recognizes staff members who demonstrate excellence in their roles. The award aims to mirror the DAISY Award, which is given to nurses.

Brittany’s nomination read, “I would like to nominate Brittany Montgomery because she goes above and beyond for her patients. She’s always so caring and has a huge heart. She’s very hard working and is always willing to lend a hand even when her schedule is packed for the day. Marshall Browning Hospital is very lucky to have Brittany. She is extremely knowledgeable about her job. She always has a smile on her face and brightens any room that she walks into. I feel like Brittany is what the Bee Award is all about.”

Patients, families, and colleagues may nominate staff. Brittany was chosen by a committee at Marshall Browning Hospital to receive the BEE Award and was presented at a celebration attended by her family, colleagues, and visitors. She received a certificate commending her as an “Exceptional Support Staff.” The certificate reads: "In deep appreciation of all you do, who you are, and the incredibly meaningful difference you make in the lives of so many people." Brittany also received a BEE Award pin and other gifts.

Beth Wise, Human Resource Director, commented, “It is no surprise that Brittany was chosen as our first BEE Award Honoree. Brittany’s name is consistently cited in patient satisfaction surveys, where they describe her as kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. Her willingness to support others and her infectious positivity make a lasting impact on our team, our workplace culture, and the community. Marshall Browning is proud to have her on our team and pleased to honor her with this award.”
