The Marshall Browning Hospital Board of Directors regretfully accepted the retirement notice of Huff at their board meeting held on August 22. Marshall Browning Hospital is a not-for-profit hospital that receives no tax monies. He has done an extraordinary job of accomplishing this during a very challenging healthcare environment. His focus was always on what was best for the patients of Perry County and keeping the hospital's services in line with the needs of the community. The Board and the community were fortunate to have had Bill's leadership and vision for the past 16 ½ years."

In Huff's retirement announcement to the Board of Directors, medical staff, managers, employees and auxiliary, he conveyed the following, "Through the work of each and every one of us during the past 16 ½ years, much has been accomplished. I am very proud of what all of us have achieved together to improve the healthcare services for those that we serve."

Huff added, "Marshall Browning Hospital has a devoted Board of Directors, experienced and committed management team, dedicated medical staff, and talented employees who together will lead Marshall Browning Hospital in achieving its mission of maintaining and improving the health for all people in Perry County and the surrounding communities. I know this organization will continue to have great success in the future, and I am proud to be able to say I had a small part in laying that groundwork. Marshall Browning Hospital and its employees will always have a special place in my heart."

Huff has over 35 years of experience in the not-for-profit health care sector. Prior to leading Marshall Browning Hospital, he was the President/CEO at St. Clement Hospital in Red Bud, Executive Vice President/COO at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland and various other positions throughout his health care career.
