Recognize an Exceptional Employee at Marshall Browning Hospital

The DAISY Award For Extraordinary Nurses

The DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune SYstem) Award is an International recognition program that honors and celebrates the skillful, compassionate care nurses provide every day.

The family of J. Patrick Barnes established the DAISY Foundation after he died from complications of the auto-immune disease ITP in 1999. During his hospitalization, the family deeply appreciated the care and compassion shown to Patrick and his entire family. When he died, they felt compelled to say “Thank You” to nurses in a very public way.

The BEE Award for Exceptional Support Staff

The BEE (Be Exceptional Everyday) Award is a program that honors and celebrates support staff who exemplify excellence in their role. This award is meant to echo the DAISY Award received by nurses, because every DAISY needs a BEE! If you had an outstanding experience, allow us to honor this support staff member by sharing your story with us.
