Marshall Browning Hospital Awards Scholarships

The Marshall Browning Hospital Board Scholarship Committee hosted a dinner on July 28, 2026 to honor the hospital scholarship winners. This year's winner was Addison Funk, who will attend SIU-C to pursue a degree in Medical Diagnostic Sonography. Other recipients honored included Rachel Emling (2025 recipient – pre-med), McKinley Rider (2024 recipient – Nursing, not pictured), and Kami Harris (2023 recipient - Nursing). Each student receives $1,000 per year for four years to support their continued education. The hospital has now awarded scholarships to 18 outstanding students pursuing careers in healthcare.

The Board Scholarship Committee includes Don Hoffman, Chairman; Dr. Carolyn Gibson; Steve Marek (not pictured); Dr. Isaac Davison; Guy Alongi; and Dan Eaves, CEO.
