Marshall Browning Hospital to Expand with an Orthopedic Clinic

Du Quoin, Illinois – December 11, 2025 — Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin is pleased to announce that it will expand its growing list of specialty clinics with an Orthopedic Clinic in January.

The new clinic will be operated by Lukas Ward, PA-C, from the Orthopedic Institute of Southern Illinois. He will see patients at Marshall Browning Hospital every Wednesday starting January 7, 2026. He will perform evaluations for common bone and joint issues, help determine what’s going on, and guide you toward the appropriate next steps.

Ward has a broad background that includes evaluating acute orthopedic injuries and assessing the progress of patients in rehab. Services offered include injury evaluation, joint care, pain assessment, mobility support, strength recovery, arthritis relief, movement analysis, and bone health.

Ward earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and his Master of Medical Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, TN.
