Pulmonary Rehabilitation


The goal of the Pulmonary Rehab Program is to help individuals with lung problems to maintain or return to an optimal level of physical, psychological and/or vocational well-being. This program uses exercise and education to help respiratory patients return to the activities which they consider important to a high quality of life. The program is divided into two phases.

Phase 1

Phase 1 includes assessment, instructions and education of breathing technique, use of inhalers and oxygen use.

Phase 2

Phase 2 incorporates and reinforces principles of Phase 1 with monitored cardiopulmonary conditioning.

Goal

The goal is to improve and maintain a personal level of optimal health.

Restrictions

Current smokers cannot be accepted into our program unless trying to STOP smoking!

Most insurance companies and Medicare will cover a large part of the cost for the program.
