ED Tech - CNA - PRN - Emergency Department
JOB SUMMARY: Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department. Communicates with LPNs/RNs/House Charge Nurse/Nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate, about changes in patient’s clinical condition including significant changes in Vital Signs, patient’s ability to communicate, and participate in personal care. Demonstrates the ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and to notify the appropriate RN swiftly.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Graduate or GED preferred. Completion of an appropriate nursing assistant program with Certification by Examination.
Training and Experience: Basic Life Support (BLS), department-specific competencies as required.
Job Knowledge: Technical knowledge to perform skills specific to patient care and monitoring.
