Environmental Services Technician - Environmental Services
JOB SUMMARY
An Environmental Service Technician is responsible for a multitude of tasks. EVS is one of the key departments for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff in all departments. Staff must be willing to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis and be capable of completing tasks despite frequent interruptions. Staff must be willing to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays. Be willing to cross train in multiple departments. Have reliable transportation and work when scheduled. An Environmental Technician must have the ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions while working with minimal supervision.

EDUCATION:
Must have a high school education or equivalent.
Must become CHEST certified. The T-CHEST certified manager will conduct the training at the hospital. The hospital will pay for the training. Training will be for full-time staff members after at least 6 months of employment. Part-time staff will be evaluated on an individual basis after at least 6 months of employment.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in hospital environmental cleaning, janitorial duties, or commercial housekeeping is desirable, but not essential. Workers can reach full productivity after on-the-job training.

Additional Information
Position Type : Part Time
Hourly Wage: $15.25 - $20.25 per/hour (Actual wage depends on experience.)
