Cardiopulmonary Rehab Specialist (RN/Exercise Physiologist/RRT) - Cardiopulmonary/Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabilitation
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. This position is open to a Registered Nurse (RN), Exercise Physiologist (EP), or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT) with a passion for improving cardiovascular health outcomes. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering individualized cardiac rehabilitation services, promoting patient education, and supporting recovery through monitored exercise and risk factor modification.
Work Schedule: Full-time or part-time position available. Day shift hours. Occasional flexibility based on patient needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide Phase II cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation services in accordance with established clinical guidelines.
2. Monitor patients during exercise sessions, including ECG rhythm interpretation, vital signs, and symptom assessment.
3. Develop and implement individualized exercise prescriptions and care plans.
4. Educate patients on heart-healthy lifestyle changes, including nutrition, medication compliance, and risk factor reduction.
5. Collaborate with physicians, case management, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
6. Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
7. Respond appropriately to medical emergencies within the rehab setting.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. One of the following credentials is required: Current IL Registered Nurse (RN) license, Exercise Physiologist with Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, or Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials.
2. Current BLS/ACLS credentials required.
3. Strong clinical assessment and patient education skills required.
4. Experience in cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation, telemetry monitoring, or critical care preferred.
5. Knowledge of AHA/ACC guidelines for cardiac rehab preferred.

Hourly Wage: $24.00 - $48.00 per/hour (Actual wage depends on experience.)
