JOB SUMMARY
An Environmental Service Technician is responsible for a multitude of tasks. EVS is one of the key departments for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff in all departments. Staff must be willing to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis and be capable of completing tasks despite frequent interruptions. Staff must be willing to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays. Be willing to cross train in multiple departments. Have reliable transportation and work when scheduled. An Environmental Technician must have the ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions while working with minimal supervision.
EDUCATION:
Must have a high school education or equivalent.
CHEST Certification preferred within 6 months of hire.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in hospital environmental cleaning, janitorial duties, or commercial housekeeping is desirable. Workers can reach full productivity after on-the-job training.

Hourly Wage: $15.25 - $20.25 per/hour (Actual wage depends on experience.)
