LPN for Urgent Care
This LPN opening is for our Urgent Care. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct and indirect patient care, communicating with providers and co-workers about changes in patients’ clinical condition to include results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. The LPN can respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, can perform general nursing duties with adequate supervision.
OUALIFICATIONS
A. Education: The LPN will be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Current licensure and registration with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation.
B. Training, Experience & Knowledge: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice including basic knowledge related to clinic nursing such as biological, physical, social and medical sciences and their applications. Must have basic knowledge to assess and care for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Familiarity with Clinic functions, standards, policies and procedures. LPN must keep apprised of new developments in the nursing field.
C. The LPN must be able to efficiently use a computer and Clinic software, copy/fax/email equipment and telephone, medical equipment.
D. Job Knowledge: The LPN should be skilled in greeting patients and answering telephone calls in a pleasant and helpful manner, with the ability to speak clearly and concisely without the perception of rudeness. The LPN will have the ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instruction. The LPN will have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all persons within the Clinic (co-workers, patients, providers, management, public, etc.)
