Occupational Therapist
Opening for PRN Occupational Therapist
The staff Occupational Therapist is responsible for the initial evaluation and establishment of the
treatment plan and goals in coordination with the referring physician of patients of all ages served:
neonates, pediatrics, young adults, adults, and geriatrics.
The Occupational Therapist performs occupational therapy treatment; and administers occupational
therapy modalities, therapeutic exercise, therapeutic activities, and ADL/IADL training; and provides
patients and/or their family's education.
The Occupational Therapist supervises and delegates tasks to the Occupational Therapy
Assistant. The Occupational Therapist will participate in team conferences/care planning. The
Occupational Therapist maintains effective communication with referring physicians. The Occupational
The therapist may serve as a clinical instructor for occupational therapist/occupational therapy assistant
students.
QUALIFICATIONS
A. Education: Occupational Therapist must be a graduate of an AMA-AOTA approved school of
occupational therapy with a Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy or equivalent in
Occupational Therapy.
B. Licensure: Must hold active license for the state of Illinois or a permit from the licensing board
awaiting licensure.
