Rehab Clinic Receptionist
The Rehab Department Receptionist performs the clerical, cleaning, and maintenance activities as necessary for the smooth day-to-day operation of the Rehab Department.
The Rehab Department Receptionist performs routine tasks in the office, such as scheduling appointments, making and receiving phone calls, obtaining insurance authorization, registering patients, ordering supplies, and preparing charts.
The Rehab Department Receptionist functions in a public relations role, as the secretary is often the first contact person.
QUALIFICATIONS
A. Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
B. Training/Experience: Preferred previous experience in medical office.
C. Job Knowledge: Computer experience in Microsoft Office preferred, ability to type
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Effective and skillful communication: Verbal, written, and phone
a. Courteous and polite with staff, patients and their significant others.
b. Accurate in taking and relaying messages.
c. Schedules outpatients in a pleasant and efficient manner.
2. Maintains departmental records efficiently and accurately
a. Conversations with insurance companies regarding authorization of treatment.
b. Ordering supplies
3. Maintains the department in a neat and orderly fashion by performing general cleaning not done by Housekeeping, cleaning of equipment and work area.
4. Inventories, requisitions, and distributes supplies routinely and efficiently.
5. Maintains equipment and supplies ready for use.
Additional Information Position Type : Part Time Shift : Day Hourly Wage: $15.60 - $19.50 per/hour (Actual wage depends on experience.)
